RICHARD iii
Set in an alternative early 20th Century, Richard III by William Shakespeare tells the story of the power-hungry Richard, Duke of Gloucester, and just how far he is willing to go to get, and to keep, the crown.
What happens when his nearest advisors turn against him, just as the heroic Richmond raises his rebel army?

Originally an outdoor production by Masque Theatre in 2022, Nothing But Roaring brought the band back together - including director John Myhill - to tell the story in radio format in seven short episodes.
Episode 1
In this opening episode, King Edward IV celebrates his victory in the Wars of the Roses, and we discover that Richard, Duke of Gloucester, isn't quite as happy as the rest of the kingdom with his brother's ascent to the throne...

Episode 2
King Edward IV's health is failing, and bitter in-fighting between the various factions comes to a head. Deposed Queen, Margaret, arrives to curse those who killed her son and husband, and Richard plots Clarence's death.
Episode 3
The imprisoned Clarence talks dreams with his guard, Brackenbury, and King Edward IV entreats his battling family to make peace with one another.

Episode 4
King Edward IV is dead, and the race is on to gain control of his son, Prince Edward. Richard and Buckingham have the young Prince's uncles imprisoned.
Episode 5
The nobles meet to discuss Prince Edward's Coronation, but Hastings discovers what it means to go against Richard. Buckingham guides Richard towards the crown...

Episode 6
King Richard is crowned, but how safe does he feel on the throne? He puts plans in place to secure his position, which means trouble for the children of King Edward IV, and threatens to leave Richard more isolated than ever before.

Episode 7
Please note, this episode contains gun fire and loud bangs.
